Bill Buddie has reached 3000 hits, just the 4th player to do so. He and Bobby Shawkey are also closing in on 500 HRs, and Shawkey is also closing in on the all time hits lead as well as 2000 RBIs. Some nice milestones ahead for next season. Todd Gonzalez may have gotten more press but these two are every bit as deserving as Gonzo, Shawkey maybe even moreso.

that is still a very special achievement , 500 homers, 3000 hits. Hard to do.
