I HAVE SENT TRADE OFFERS TO THE CUB OWNER AND THE REDLEGS OWNER AS WELL PEASE CHECK THE TRADE DESK UNDER GM.
Stros
Speed is important.
Contact vs Right or Left (CvR or CvL) means getting on base, not batting average by itself.
Power vs Right or Left (PvR or PvL) means not only homeruns but it does factor into BA and extra base hits.
Power is king in this Sim, that combined with speed are the two biggest factors in my book. You could have a guy that is:
B CvR
A PvR
A- Speed
he will be much much better in this sim than:
A CvR
B PvR
B Speed.
You will even see guys like this who hit for high average and crush the ball:
CvR C+
PvR A+
Speed A+
That low contact rate means far far less than a C+ power rating, especially combined with A+ speed.

That was a pretty bad trade for Pitt. [url=http://www.simdynasty.com/player.jsp?id=9167808]Castillo[/url] who has B power vs R (PvR for short) and B speed is also OS (off-season)34. That means he will get hit with declines after the year is finished, the playoffs are done and we switch over to 3-25-1951. He will basically be worthless after declines hit. Anything below B power won't do well. A few things to remember:Speed is important.

The good thing is that this is only 3 seasons and you don't have to watch the first round pick you dealt turn into a stud for 15 years or watch the catcher you gave up turn into good backups or even starters.
The catcher position is second only to starting pitchers in need, they can be few and far between. It is rare that you see a whole league with great catchers. In 120+ simd seasons I haven't even seen 1/2 a league with great catchers. You will see catchers drafted a bit higher than they would if they were normal fielders in drafts for this reason. Most people reach for Starters in drafts because you really need 4 good ones per team at least and if there is a good catcher around, they will be drafted early as well.
