My CF Mark Pike regained his power stroke this year and smacked 33 homers. I noticed early on his ridiculous numbers through the first few games and he was leading the league at one point i believe. Then i noticed he started trailing off, but I remember thinking "man, this guy could have a monster year!" He had a good season overall(minus the average), but I was curious to see what had happened and why he seemingly stopped hitting. So, I thought I'd look and give a breakdown of his homerun totals by month and compare them to the league leader Molesworth.July 21, 2011 at 06:38AM View BBCode
Ahh, that is very interesting to look at by the month, good point to see that to hit a lot of homeruns, it is really more than just a great month or two. Pike definitely did have a powerful season though, with bookend great months. The lean July and August did him in in the long run.July 21, 2011 at 06:33PM View BBCode
Ehhh.. I can show you 5 guys that I have had with red letter contact and 95 or more power that couldn't hit 40 in this league ((and in my small park))....July 21, 2011 at 08:46PM View BBCode
I've seen those around this league, definitely incredibly frustrating....case in point [url=http://simdynasty.com/player.jsp?player=nobody&mode=stats&id=8676956]Joe Bianco[/url]...yeah he hit 38 last season but he may never hit that many again...which is perplexing given the 99 power and 76 contact....ultimately I think it's the health. If you can get 100 at-bats more, you've got the chance to hit at least 5-10 home runs more.Pages: 1
