Colts eyeing some single season all time records

August 21, 2011 at 05:20PM View BBCode

LF Nelson VanGilder only needs 13 hits in the last 14 games to set a new single season hits record.

Nelson also only needs 4 more doubles to break the season record.

SP A. Thomas is coming up on his 4th straight Cy Young which would tie Rosario for most consecutive Cy Youngs.

As a team I have always wanted to break the 1000 runs or 1000 RBI in a single season. The RBI's look to be out of range but the Colts can still get to the 1000 runs at 921 with 14 games left we need to average 5.7 per game to reach 1000.

3rd B Joe Clark needs 10 homers in 14 games to break the season homer record. Doesn't look good for him but you never know he may end up with a couple of 3 homer games to make it possible.

The team is also very close to having 5 players with over 100 RBI's.

Nelson Vangilder had a 25 game hit streak earlier this season.

Nelson Vangilder broke the single season HITS record that has held up since 1950.

A. Thomas pretty much has another Cy Young rapped up to tie Rosario

Colts finish with 4 players with over 100 RBI's each with a 5th at 99.
