Gameday

The Gameday game tracker thing on mlb.com had a strange play on the play-by-play. Anyone want to tell me the meaning of this:
Bottom 9th B:0 S:0 O:0
Defensive switch from designated hitter to designated hitter for Nick Punto.
Punto isn't switching to anything and even if he was, how is it a defensive switch?

Perhaps it was just a malfunction. Either that or maybe Punto had just entered the game?

Punto entered earlier in the inning as a PR. In theory, the play in question was telling us Punto was going to remain the DH (even though he was pinch hit for in his next at-bat). If the DH is replaced with a PR, then it's rather obvious that the DH will no longer stay in the game. Here's the entire inning:
Top 9th B:0 S: 2 O: 0
Torii Hunter singles on a ground ball to left fielder Bobby Kielty.
Top 9th B:0 S: 0 O: 0
Offensive Substitution: Pinch runner Nick Punto replaces Torii Hunter.
Top 9th B:2 S: 1 O: 0
With Jacque Jones batting, passed ball by Adam Melhuse, Nick Punto to 2nd.
Top 9th B:3 S: 3 O: 1
Jacque Jones strikes out swinging.
Top 9th B:0 S: 3 O: 2
Lew Ford strikes out swinging.
Top 9th B:0 S: 0 O: 2
Offensive Substitution: Pinch hitter Jose Offerman replaces Rob Bowen.
Top 9th B:2 S: 2 O: 3
Jose Offerman lines out to shortstop Bobby Crosby.

Torii Hunter was pinch-run for and is playing DH?
I thought he was a gold-glove outfielder with pretty good speed.

I think they've been DHing Hunter off and on, because of his recent injury woes.

Hunter has been hurt so the Twins decided to use him as a DH (LeCroy, the normal DH, is injured). Lew Ford is playing the OF
