In real baseball, you hear of players converting to pitching or the other way around. Like Sergio Santos and Casey Janssen, of my Blue Jays, among many others.
What about doing this in SimDynasty?

What about doing this in SimDynasty?

The amount of IC's you would have to put on a pitcher to convert them to a Rick Ankiel level, mediocore at best, is not worth it.

On the flip side, some batters have good pitching ratings that sometimes don't require more than normal development. Rare, but it happens.

This happens because way back in the early days of Sim Dynasty it was thought that position players may be forced to occasionally pitch just as pitchers occasionally take the field. The way that pitcher fatigue works was changed, however, so the need for a position player to pitch never occurred so the feature was never created. To this day, however, the "emergency pitcher" ratings still appear on some players, even though they can never be used.
