So midway through Q4 of PS4 today in Epsilon, backup QB Rip Williams gets dinged on a sack. With only two active QBs, the sim turns to our emergency QB, Bob Taylor, for two plays. Then, on third down, in comes the starter, Edwards.
There is no question of Edwards not being fully rested, as he hadn't played since the first half. Was he just not ready to go in yet and had to go find his shoulder pads and helmet, so Taylor took a couple snaps in the meantime?
Of course, the whole thing is silly, because in RL a team would have more than two active QBs in the preseason. But it is rather odd substitution.

The sim starts the backups in the second half; it resists putting them in until it has to, and apparently Taylor was a better choice for a bit. But there's a bug in there somewhere that's been maddeningly elusive, and this may help shed some light on it.--Chris
