In 1985, my Brooklyn team was 1 game away from winning our first WS. A year later, after most of my team improved, I finished in 4th place. My cleanup batter's batting average dropped by 76 points even though his batting ratings were unchanged. My closer's ERA went from 3.63 to 6.17, again without declining in any stats. I feel for you Atlanta, this is indeed very strange. I looked to see maybe your fielding is letting you down, but no, you're #2 in the +/- category as well. I guess the only explanation is that STL got really good, pushing everyone back, as last year the NL had so many teams jammed up at the top, near .500. Otherwise, your hitting and pitching numbers are identical to last year.Pages: 1
