Detroit/ Arizona Trade

I dont get the benifits of this trade for Arizona unless there are #1 picks also coming Arizona's way. Thats way to much to give up for aging vets.. am I looking at this wrong? the only good player invovled that us young is the SSredsfan43

From Detroit's perspective, I have to admit this looked pretty good when it was offered to me. That said, of the five players I traded, two were very good A-/B+ pitchers near the end of their careers, one was a 31-year-old power-hitting catcher (a former 1st round pick), one was a 24-year-old SS/3B/2B (another 1st round pick) I had been grooming to be a starter next season, and the last was a 24-year-old CF (2nd round pick) who I was looking at for platooning against lefties and/or as a 4th OF. Some pretty good players there. The players I received were admittedly excellent (a former 1st round pick and two 2nd round picks). All-in-all, I didn't think the trade would be seen as lopsided enough to be called into question, especially since I wasn't the one who proposed it.Pages: 1
