Looking at my initial draft, I notice I didn't draft a single person under 24. I have a guy in my minors who's 39!January 08, 2003 at 02:21PM View BBCode
Actually, I had the opposite experience. I weighted youth fairly heavily and I only have 5 players over 27 -- and only 2 over 30. Conversely, I have 13 players under 24 and 26 players age 25 or under.January 08, 2003 at 02:34PM View BBCode
I had 8 on youth for pitchers and 4 for position players...January 08, 2003 at 02:44PM View BBCode
I've changed my settings since then, but I think I had 15 and 15.January 08, 2003 at 03:09PM View BBCode
I'd agree that the pool probably isn't the issue. I inherited the Untouchables' draft preferences without realizing it. Brad had 28 and 34 points on youth for offense and pitching, and ended up with only one player on the entire roster as old as 26, and only 3 at 25. So I'd say that if anyone wants a younger roster, ratchet up those youth points.January 08, 2003 at 03:14PM View BBCode
OH NO!!! MY SECRET'S OUT!!! Put points into Youth and yuo get younger players!!!;)January 08, 2003 at 03:57PM View BBCode
Now I see why my 9 points and 9 points didn't net many young guys!January 08, 2003 at 07:56PM View BBCode
The team that drafted with my pref. (NYN) took a lot of young guys as well.Pages: 1
