As I wait for my young players to develop, there isn't a ton to do or even worry about on a day-to-day basis for me these days Sim Dynasty wise. I can certainly take some joy out of my young pitcher Trevor Bauer tossing a complete game shutout against the best team in the league record wise. I can be pleased with the progress of my minor leaguers like Matt Moore who reached A- Velocity this year. But overall, I am left with a bit of a void. I miss "going for it" as my team did for many years in this league. I was hoping to never have to "blow up" the team in order to rebuild, but reality set in when I glanced at my pitching staff leading up to the start of this season and then checking out one team in particular; The Hoodrats. Once I saw what they have built over the years, (especially that pitching staff) I quickly realized I had little to no chance of making the playoffs this year. Too much talent elsewhere. St. Louis is still very strong even though Hayward has moved on. Philly was primed for a repeat playoff appearance. And once I saw that Hoodrat team, I knew. It was time to say good-bye to some of my favorite Wifflers and dedicate our team to the future.August 07, 2012 at 10:20PM View BBCode
Thanks for the update. I appreciate you giving me another chance to get past you to the playoffs. I hope all my guys stay healthy and keep piching and hitting as well as they are. You are right about NY. They are looking tough. I just hope I made the moves I needed to keep up with them and into the playoffs. And maybe I can even pull out a playoff win. Its been a long while for my guys. I think i'm due.August 07, 2012 at 11:42PM View BBCode
Everybody has such nice things to say about my team and frankly I'm flattered. Its been a long climb but I've finally made it out of the basement and I'm looking forward to hopefully making a run at my first title. Hopefully I can hold off Philadelphia and St. Louis, but I'm not ready to take any of that for granted.Pages: 1
