Powell moved into 5th place today in Hits, surpassing Joe Walling.

John moved past Mickey Makowski for 6th place on the all-time Runs list today.

John Powell has announced today that he will return for an 18th major league season!

He also moved into 4th on the All-time Hits list, tied J.P.D. and Julio Mora for the most All-Star Appearances, and improved his own record for AS Starts.

Today, Powell has moved into 2nd all-time in doubles, and moved into 5th all-time in Runs. He is also now just 4 RBI from tying Julio Mora for 2nd, and 13 RBI away from Derrick Cooper for the all-time RBI lead.

So far this season, Powell has moved into 3rd all-time in hits, and is now the official All-Time leader in RBI.

Assuming no huge injuries, he will become the first player in league history to score 2,000 runs and drive in 2,000 runs.

Julio Mora is the only other player to be in the 1900/1900 club.

(a bit late, but I've been extremely busy at work this week so...)

and...John Powell drives in RBI #2,000 becoming the first to break that barrier, and the first to join the 2,000/2,000 club (runs scores, runs batted in).
