i picked up three abandoned trial league teams and led them all to their respective league titles, but ABE in his grand and glorious wisdom saw fit to keep each and every one of them out of the WS.
and in this league i got beat by a team lucky to make the playoffs.
congrats on a job well done.

There are two ways to look at that....ABE was ok during the regular season,or you wouldn't have made the playoffs....and you've been around long enough to know that just about every postseason there are upsets...i can't figure ABE out either,but it seems that something strange occurs as soon as the playoffs start....it would seem that one should be grateful for making the playoffs,but it is hard to swallow when a seemingly inferior team ushers you out unexpectedly....no judgement is intended here, but i almost EXPECT the unexpected During the playoffs

i have come to EXPECT it, but i REFUSE to ACCEPT it.
why don't MY teams ever win unexpectedly?
in over 5.5 years of playing this game, i have won ONE time in the WS where my team was inferior on paper - but it did have by far the best pitching in either league. my hitters were mostly very young and improving.
and with all of the countless abandoned trial league teams i have take on, i can only think of one instance where i had what i consider a crappy team win the WS.
yet, my teams lose constantly in pay leagues and trial leagues to crappy teams.
and it's not like i don't know what i'm doing. if owner stats mean anything, i'm one of the top owners in simd history despite it all.
