Any league that has 10 or more renewers will automatically keep going. If leagues have less than that, we kill the league off.
The reason for this is that it is tough to find Expansion owners to fill out a league. Having to find 7 or more Expansion owners isn't fair to the other leagues looking for 3 or 4, it can cause those leagues to have lengthy pause periods and often makes it impossible to start new leagues because it sucks up demand for teams. It is also a way to make sure leagues that lack interest quietly fade into the night.
At this point, we have 6 people who have paid or are listed as renewing and 6 listed as leaving. In order to continue the league, we'll need all 4 of the unknowns/undecideds to actually renew.
Has anyone heard from any of these 4 guys?
In the event the league does fold, owners that renewed will be given a refund to their Sim Dynasty account. They can request this be a refund to their PayPal account in Support. Any replacement owners will be contacted and given the choice of a pro-rated refund, or an Expansion team in another league.
There will also be a link for you to signup to be notified when we start merged leagues. These are leagues made up of teams and players from defunct leagues.

I don't think that's a fair assessment. That being said, it looks like if you're intent on leaving, we will be forced to fold, unless one of the owners who are leaving change their minds.

You mean not the right combo of owners for you to be able to win. With the exception of Florida, who is relatively new to SimD, the only team in the NL that has hasn't been to the playoffs in the past 58 seasons is your NY 69ers.

I was trying not to say that, but yeah. I haven't received an offer from you probably in close to 30 months. You sit on your top picks constantly and don't make efforts to improve your roster. Please don't condescend the rest of the owners because of that.

I know that I have not been to the playoffs or successful in this league, but maybe that is because I stopped trying or caring years ago (not sim years) in this league for the lack of involvement in this league......There is a reason, as to why so many people want to leave....... I am in 3 other leagues, and this league is by far the least interesting league that I am in......

There is plenty of activity. Just because you checked out in 1953 doesn't mean everyone else did. I don't understand why you would pay for a product (the FRL) you are unhappy with?

I've been undecided... the $ is a little steep at this point... but if the leagues continuance does depend on me staying, I will be here... maybe if it doesn't

I really hope kozpan, tpconnor and ofan1987will all decide to stay, not just because we need everyone to continue the FRL, but because all 3 of you are good owners who are key members of this league! Going forward we will make this one of the most competitive leagues in SimD.

LandBaron, MassCarnage, and McNeff11 have agreed to join the FRL. I'm not sure what division they'll end up in, but any of you undecided owners will have some serious competition if you stay. Along with CEO, we all compete in the PWL together.I really hope kozpan, tpconnor and ofan1987will all decide to stay, not just because we need everyone to continue the FRL, but because all 3 of you are good owners who are key members of this league! Going forward we will make this one of the most competitive leagues in SimD.

I was originally leaving since I was moving in a month and would have limited internet for awhile. I've changed from leaving to paid, I'll just have to do my best to manage my team through my phone.[Edited on 9-22-2012 by jack80]

It's only going to get harder. I have another really good owner who wants to join the NL. We are going to have about 14 solid owners in this league!

I don't think anyone really wants you stay. I've been wondering since about 1970 why you keep renewing. And after your "FOLD AWAY" statement, I can't see why anyone here could trust you. Sometimes it's best to move on...

To be honest, I'm very disappointed that after such a long time of having their renewal status set to leaving, and having new owners buy teams assuming that there would 5 teams worth of expansion talent to choose from, that people would be changing their minds here in the 11th hour. Now people want to stay all of a sudden? These new owners are only going to push teams like NYN, FLA, and CHA further down in the standings. I can see some of you just wanting to leave again in 8 seasons, or worse, check out mentally after just a few seasons in.Pages: 1 2
