If the trade deadline is midnight real time before the day that the Sept. 1 game is played, how will we know if this deadline has been broken? Unless someone was online at midnight and checked, then anything after what was there then is too late... just wondering, there is probably some way to do this that I don't know about...

Are we going to use the new initial draft system or the old one? Basically, there were a lot of older, good players who eventually retired in the 1954-1956 seasons. It did do one thing though - the draft young and tank teams were unable to start winning until about 1955.

So if Thursday runs the schedule from August 29th through September 3rd, the deadline will be before the first game on Thursday. I'll make the rules a little more clear.

cubs...well, that's a good point. We'll have to go by date. If the trade is made before the first game of the day after the deadline, it's fine.
