I understand that AFE needs to drop someone in that situation but there is no reason why he should be taking someone from the active roster to do that. AFE should only be allowed to draw from the inactive list in autowaive situations. better still would be if we could designate who AFE should waive in that situation in the way that baseball does.

probably AFE picked him because his salary and/or overall grade are low. but he's also in the starting lineup at RT and my team is about 40,000 under the cap.

after a medium term injury to a starting LB, I made several offers to get a stopgap there. OAK accepted my trade offer for colchico after I had gone offline for the day. when today's game started, AFE needed to waive a guy to get me back to the roster limit. for some reason he selected Hershel Jones off of my active roster as the player to be waived. since jones is my starting RT, I would never had waived him myself.
