Miami is last year's Cincy, and vice versa

January 14, 2014 at 08:27PM View BBCode

Miami is last year's Cincy. Despite a recent 3-game loss streak against the worst teams in the league, they still have a 2-game lead on Arizona and the rest of the league. They have the league's best staff ERA and the 2nd most runs scored in the league, after Cincinnati.

Cincinnati is last year's Miami. Despite a league-best offense and a Pythagorean win percentage of .545, they're 11 games off the pace and close to mathematical elimination.

On Sep. 16, Cincy visits Miami for a series at Estadio de las Américas. Do the Croakers have anything left in the well from last year? Or will the Ballers show 'em the exits for 1951?

Cincinnati had an awesome year last year from start to finish. Makes you wonder what happened. Great race this season so far. Florida is always tough especially down the stretch. Good luck Miami and good season.

Cincy sweeps AZ, AZ sweeps Florida, Florida sweeps Miami, and Miami takes two of three extra-inning matches from Cincy. Hotly contested.
