My defensive settings are to bring the infield in in all available situations from the 4th inning on. In this game, top 6th, tie game, 1st and 2nd, one out, guy on 2nd steals 3rd, which should have brought my infield in, but instead:February 08, 2014 at 06:14PM View BBCode
I've seen these before a few times. Did they steal at the same time, or a few pitches apart, who knows?February 08, 2014 at 08:14PM View BBCode
i think it had to be the same pitch, or my infield would have come in...otherwise it's kind of a bug.February 08, 2014 at 10:39PM View BBCode
That's true, sorry I skimmed thru your first post. I wonder how the catcher decides which runner to try and throw out?February 09, 2014 at 07:33PM View BBCode
thats a good question, i'll pass this on to Support just for curiosity.February 12, 2014 at 12:53AM View BBCode
Cool. I did not think that double steals happened. This is probably a mistake, with two different steal attempts in the at bat and the fielding code check only catching the initial situation for the at bat but not the subsequent runners on 1st and 3rd after the first steal.February 12, 2014 at 01:14AM View BBCode
yeah i posted this in Support to find out, that's what Tyson said too. kinda disappointing, i wish he lied, ha.August 02, 2014 at 10:11PM View BBCode
just saw another one, and this time the evidence appears to be irrefutable, because the double-steal attempt happens with 0 out, the infield still came in after, even though the same batter is still at the plate. I wish my catcher tried to get the guy at 3rd, ha.August 03, 2014 at 04:21PM View BBCode
Do your settings take outs into account? I'm asking because if the infield would only move in after 1 out, that could also explain it.August 03, 2014 at 08:31PM View BBCode
yeah, i move 'em in all the time. 0 outs, 1 out...home team, away team...winning run, tying run.August 05, 2014 at 12:27AM View BBCode
It isn't a same pitch scenario. This is a known glitch (where the lead runner attempts a steal, then the other run attempts a steal; but the code does not re-assess the situation for moving the IF after the first steal attempt, it only runs that at the beginning of an at bat). Sorry.August 05, 2014 at 02:47AM View BBCode
But not between the two steal attempts. I still think that there were independent events.August 05, 2014 at 02:48AM View BBCode
Ugh. That last sentence makes me sound like a complete moron.Pages: 1
