- A Very Long option has been added to all downs, defaulting to 14 yards, except for the Goal Line strategy pages (where Long is already pushing it). For all existing strategies, this row will be blank. If it is left blank, the Long strategy for that down will apply. This should be reflected properly in the Strategy Tester. Very Long must be at least 2.0 yards longer than Long; if your existing Long is higher than 12.0 the first time you save the strategy it should fix it.
- First down now has a Medium, Long and Very Long line. Your existing 1st Down strategies appear on 1st and Long now. Your 1st and Med and 1st and Very Long lines will be blank for existing strategies; if either of these are missing, the 1st and Long strategy will apply. This should be reflected properly in the Strategy Tester.
- There are six strategies available per line now rather than four. (Advanced Strategies still only have four, I will be working on that next.)
- The slider is no longer applied if all options are Run or all options are Pass. This sounds like a semantic point, as applying the slider should have no effect, but if you used very low percentage settings (1 or 2), the options would disappear when the bar was applied. This is the correct behavior when there are mixed options but incorrect if the options were not mixed.
The strategy interface page had to be almost completely rewritten to make this work. The new version should be easier to maintain and more reliable.
Please hit this heavily:
- Make sure existing strategies load properly
- Check out your strategies in the Strategy Tester
- Watch the games to see if your strategies (especially any you add to the 5 and 6 slot) work properly
- If the new page feels cramped or difficult to work with, please comment
- If the new page or Strategy Tester page have performance problems, please let me know
This has been a huge overhaul of both the code and the database so there are lots of places for bugs to hide. Thank you for your help!
