Dang, I had this ballot almost completed awhile ago - just a couple guys left to check - and my computer crashed. And then I forgot about it.

Let's try again:

Tito Fuentes - was good both before and after Colorado was in playoffs; WWL All Time OPS leader. Averaged more than 21 HR and 65 RBI per season.

Ricky Whitman - guy was a workhorse. Never really played for a winner, still won 200+ games.

Rick Nelson - 18 seasons adds to stat totals (avg. SimD career is 15-16 years) but he was an awesome and dependable middle-of-the-lineup guy. 10 seasons of 100+ RBI, was solid three years into his declines. Loved a Garden Party.

Joe Bonvi - should be a unanimous vote.

Fred McCabe - should be voted in on his "black ink" totals alone.

___________

Almost voted for:
Tom Sours - want to vote for him, but he wasn't good enough, long enough. Never the same pitcher after he left NY.

Placebo Jackson - *19* year career; WWL All Time Leader in Games Started, but he declined quickly. 237 wins is nothing to sneeze at, but the rest of his card looks like they were won through longevity, not necessarily All Star talent.

Jason Lester - Hall of Fame chances held back by lack of awards and accolades, but he could quietly do it all. Played with the great Oakland teams of the early 60s and I'm betting that influenced All Star totals. A 21-year career contributed to establishing high numbers and 3,000 Hits is a grand accomplishment but I'm just not totally convinced. In the end, I don't think he'll compare well to later All Stars.

Charlie Vitt - continued to be an All Star through his years with the New York Nights (now Brooklyn) but I just don't see him as first ballot material.

Maybe next time....

no Jason thankyou bud., It seems that SIM is dieing down a bit around the league . I know me for one has burnt out but once my teams started competing for playoffs Ive gotten some passion back .I said some passion back . I will stay as long as everyone esle does . I still have fun playing the game . I see less and less tradinjg goin g on so I assume everyone has kind of slowed down there competitive spirit. So hang in there guys .Have some fun make some trades LOL
