I should have spotty internet, so I'll be able to monitor the team, just not sure what else I'll be actually able to do.

Gentlemen.... I'll be out of town for the next three weeks. France and North Carolina beckon. I solemnly promise not to screw up the mediocrity my team has worked hard to attain.I should have spotty internet, so I'll be able to monitor the team, just not sure what else I'll be actually able to do.

1. Preauthorize any credit card(s) you might want to use abroad with the issuing bank or credit union. Otherwise international purchases are seen as identity fraud and the banks shut down your card.
2. Make sure your cell is eligible for international calls and/or you get an international calling card ... but activate it *before* you leave the States.
Good luck, have fun, and don't forget to vote in the latest HOF campaign before you go! (Or if you get bored one night abroad. Which may be better than boring a broad one night.)

My son just went to France and WiFi was abundant. Or at least in the hotels it was. This is probably redundant advice for a seasoned traveler such as yourself, but two pieces of travel strategy that we didn't think about before going to Ireland this past April bit us in the backside:1.
