Comparison of Leagues
July 25, 2014 at 10:14PM View BBCode
In one of our leagues a discussion on this topic.
how many A- and higher players were in the league
(hitters + SP +RP)
The feeling was this was a good measure of the overall
player development skills (and drafting) of the current
and immediate past owners.
Could admin provide these as it is impossible to do this
by means available to non admin.
Now, this would directly compare all 44 dynasty leagues
to each other. the speed leagues would be on a
differnt basis depending on minor league system used,
as well as perhaps variable dev., edit, and salary.
A side benefit would be to have some comparison
between dynasty and speed.
The comparison made so far indicates significant
differences among dynasty leagues.

i'm not too sure what that information would really tell us, i mean, some leagues just get better drafts than others, in one of my leagues an owner did a revisionist history of the past 10 or 12 drafts and somehow they were just about all terrible, it helped me realize why my team kept going to the playoffs even though i didn't think the roster was that strong. there's literally 4 good catchers in the entire league, and there are 0 nubes in that league, it's just been subpar draft classes.
but, i dont see why it would be all that hard to gather this info ourselves...how did you collect the data on trades and owner tenures? i figured you were checking the Trades Completed and League Info pages for all the leagues...can do the same with the Player Rankings page for this exercise.
