Renewal Information & Payment Link

September 13, 2014 at 06:02AM View BBCode

Hello,<BR><BR> You are coming up to the time of your renewal. The 1974 season will be your last full season before renewal. If you could please consider whether or not you are returning and let the league commish know. We now have the ability to track renewal intentions on the game side of the website. If you log into your team, and go to Edit Profile, you can update your renewal status there. You can also see the renewal status for anyone in your league by going to the league info page. This feature is enabled about 21 days before a league reaches the renewal deadline. <BR><BR> Please update your status accoordingly and/or send a u2u to the league commish letting them know whether your returning, not returning, or if you have already paid (including replacement owners who took over a team mid-term). Even if your undecided, we would like to at least get a response from you stating that so we are aware your thinking about it.<BR><BR> Below is the information and a link if your ready to renew now. The renewal cost for this league is $55.00 for the next 5 season term. However, if you renew before Saturday, October 4th, the cost is only $50.00. There is also a chance you could lose your team to an expansion owner if everyone else is ready to go by then. If there is a question or you need an extention on your payment, please send me a u2u to let me know ASAP.<BR><BR> To renew, login to your team and go to the owner tab, and then click on Renewal. This will bring you to a page which will tell you the cost and provide you with a payment link. Once paid your team will be automatically marked as renewed and you can trade picks into the next term. If you have trouble finding it, you can use the following link:<BR> http://www.simdynasty.com/renewal.jsp<BR><BR> Note: You must be logged into your Wilbur Wood League team on the gameside for this link to work properly. We have recently coded a new renewal process to help automate things. Before, payments and renewal statuses were all searched through and applied manually, which consumed a significant amount of administrative time. We have tested the system out in a several leagues with good success. You can view all the teams which have paid on the league info page. All the paid teams can trade picks beyond the current term. You can now renew at any time in any private/speed league by using the link under the owner-->renewal tab.<BR><BR><B>The Expansion Draft</B><BR>Once a league has a total of 16 paid renewing owners and paid expansion owners, and the OffSeason has run, the schedule for expansion drafts will kick in. You can view the details here:<BR> http://rules.simdynasty.com/index.php/Sim_Dynasty_Game_Guide#Term_League_Expansion_Schedules <BR><BR>Thanks,<BR>Sim Dynasty Administrator

Guys, I've got 11 teams and now that I'm working part time again, I have to find some way to cut that back to 8 or 9. Maybe less, eventually.

I hate to leave a league showing negative Prestige on my Owner Card, but if I'm going to go, now seems like a good time as the roster has lots and lots of good pieces to trade or make another playoff run.

I like the rule set used here, but the message boards seem to get kind of stale. An engaged community of owners is one of the things I really enjoy about a league. I suspect this league's forum is often quiet because so many of us play in other leagues together, a byproduct of the WWL being born out of the MML, I suppose.

So ... I'm undecided. Your thoughts?

Ballmark, I am in a similar situation, I have too many teams right now, and my work is changing so I will have less time as well, so unfortunately I have to bow out of the WWL.

I have enjoyed the competition here (well except for the beats San Fran has put on the Haffenreffers!!!), but many of you I will still see in other leagues.

This is a great league, as ballmark said it is a bit quiet, I hate to leave a pool of players that are older, but there will be several franchise cornerstones that will continue on in the expansion draft...

I'm renewing, don't chat much, but that's just my style, I'm usually quiet

I'm moving on but have thoroughly enjoyed my time here and may be back again someday. Thanks!

Guys, I hate to do it but I may be out as well. Will confirm in the upcoming days, but something I had thought about for awhile. I still plan on continuing with MML.

Oh, yeah. I'll be in the MML for awhile yet. No plans on dropping that team. Still have to figure out how to wedge in another "Rookie Report!"

Guys I am sorry for my recent absence. A lot has happened in my personal and professional life, all good, but crazy.

This sucks because I like our group of owners, and its hard to get great guys sometimes. I have put Boston, Baltimore, and Texas (Frostee you are dead to me lol) up for sale so far.

I wish you all would stay, that's my 2 cents. I think we have a competitive and fun league.

I need final decisions from the undecideds, so I will be sending out u2u messages to all of them.

As for the expansion teams, I have made it so there is no password to join. We don't have time to be picky like I've been in the past (previously, new owners had to get the password from me, which meant that I screened all of you HAHA)

I think we will be fine guys.

Baltimore hes re-upped for another term. Please remove us from the list of for sale teams. Thanks!

The first time the Expansion draft script runs, the date will be set to 03/26 if a league has a total of 16 renewed owners and expansion owners. The next day when it runs, the Expansion Draft will run. The Amateur Draft will run at the next time slot after that (for most leagues, this will be the next day).
Sorry, but as I read the above (from the link), I'm still fuzzy on the dates. I guess we've had four new owners now for the minimum 24 hours, so I hope you all have your draft preferences set.

You find them in the Draft Center, then on the far right at the top click "Preferences" next to the words "Expansion Draft."

It appears, based on the above, the Expansion Draft could run as quickly as 2:00 p.m. today! Or, it could be tomorrow. See, that's confusing language.

My gut says (based on the fact our league date still says 3/25) that the ED Script will run today but all it will do is see we have the four new owners. Then the date switches to 3/26. Then the actual Expansion Draft will run tomorrow at 2:00 p.m. Then the Amateur Draft will run at 10:54 a.m. on Sunday. The league should start regular season games again on Monday.

But I could be off by a day.

The script runs each day at 2PM. So the new owner must have signed up after 2PM, otherwise the league date would have flipped to 3/26.

Right, so it looks like we will have a draft tomorrow at 2PM
