Luebbers gets a rare non fatigue start and comes up huge in an extra inning comeback with a walkoff solo homer directly following a game tying 2 run blast by 2 time MVP Art Fisher (who has otherwise had a terrible season):

He's been a big disappointment since coming from St. Louis but this was great. Most of the season he's been a fatigue starter or defensive substitution with his A+ arm. Every game counts now and the win makes the 22's one of only 2 teams to be above .500 at the moment in the AL. 11/14 remaining games are at home in the Double Down stadium so Im optimistic.

With six games left in the season, FIVE teams are still in contention for the Wild Card. Insane!!

Detroits rotation confused me...thought that Xavier was going to pitch second game of series so i put in Lefty Small to pitch against him...xavier started game 1 and got pulled after giving up 4 in the 3rd inning then Detroit hung 7 runs on Rondon in one inning and we took the loss. :(

Small gets his first start since '55 in the biggest of spots in game 2. Since then, he improved 17 points in velocity and 16 in control. I kept him in the minors for the past 2 seasons as a flyer to see if he could develop into something useable..hopefully he proves himself.

Luckily BAL and LAA both lost as well. I have no fingernails left.

Small pitches terribly...and Teriyaki pitches worse in relief. 22's fall short in a comeback in the ninth and lose by 1. With baltimore losing but detroit and LAA winning..there is a chance that there is a 4 way tie for second going into 162.

If baltimore, detroit and laa win there will be that tie. If we hold on behind Clyde Moore then we clinch.

I had been hoping for it before but know I don't want it at all. I have no idea how SD will set up the tie-breaking.

I fear that the server would shut down for a week if it happened. I cant find information anywhere about what would happen.

Darn Chicago and Oakland wouldn't play along! Good old fashioned 2 team tiebreaker

I watched the other two games first..

Of course another pitching let-down and failed comeback. down 7 by the bottom of the 8th and score 6 between the 8th and 9th lose. had bases loaded in the 8th too.

Cant say im very excited about this. I definitely wish Bal and LAA won because I obviously can't beat Detroit to save my life right now. I was 13-11 with an even higher pythag winning % in the season but just got swept at home. :(

That was a lot of fun. Figures I couldn't win 2 of 3 against Oakland to get my share of the postseason but I was surprised to be in contention this season so the season was a success. I finished 40 points better than my pythagoren percentage suggested I should have, I guess a result of getting shutout so many times and winning bunch of one run games.

I believe it that the 0's failed to tie it up. After last season's offensive explosion, and actually a better staff this year...I cannot believe we finished under .500
