Bowers struck out nine including striking out catcher Steve Hulen three times, walked two and generally dominated the Highlander order.
Kansas City scored six runs on the 7t off reliever Dave Anderson to double their three run lead built up against starter Kevin Colon who allowed five hits and three runs in 5.1 innings.
Kansas City goes for the sweep of the series in the third game of the set sending lefthander Fred Garagozzo (3-1) against righthander Grover Lee(1-1), who tries to stop the bleeding for New York.

Congratulations to the John Ward League Kansas City Monarch's Fred Bowers on throwing a no hitter today in his home park against my New York Highlanders.Bowers struck out nine including striking out catcher Steve Hulen three times, walked two and generally dominated the Highlander order.

The Check This Out Forum should be for really out of the ordinary things that would interest anyone from any league. For example: 4 triples in a game by one player, or 7 SB's in a game, 5 home runs by one player, 30 runs in a game by one team. The types of things that someone else may not see in 100 seasons of real or sim baseball.

Larry, you should post these league accomplishments in your league's message board.The Check This Out Forum should be for really out of the ordinary things that would interest anyone from any league. For example: 4 triples in a game by one player, or 7 SB's in a game, 5 home runs by one player, 30 runs in a game by one team. The types of things that someone else may not see in 100 seasons of real or sim baseball.
