Playoff Assessment

February 26, 2015 at 05:39PM View BBCode

I'm going to throw this out there for what ever it's worth. Hopefully it will get some comments.

In the NL the defending World Champs San Diego look to hold onto their repeat attempt and hold a strong lead at this point. San Diego looks to take Pittsburgh's place as a repeat champs and try to dominate the RSL. Montreal has come on this season to make a claim for a playoff spot, but with there young pitching can they hold off Pittsburgh's veterans and the upcoming NY Mess, we'll see.

In the AL Boston looks to be the dominator. We know in the past this does not always mean a World Championship as the rest of the AL seems to be far from top competition. Chicago and NY DirtySox are fighting for that second spot, stay tuned.

Anything can happen, and once the playoffs start who knows, even Chi or NY AL could end up in the WS.

Good Luck to the contenders. And to everyone else better luck next season.

I'm not saying anything because it's already on record that I feel Abe is more generous to underdogs in the postseason, but I will say that I am very excited to see if there are going to be two one-game playoffs this season.

It's a barn burner for sure.

After 6 seasons in the post season if has finally come to an end for the Crawfords. And we took it to the last game and it took Montreal to the last inning of the last game to clinch. You will have your hands full with a very good San Diego team looking to defend its crown.

Congratulations to the AL playoff teams, with Chicago and New York to a one game playoff to see who gets to play a very tough Boston team.

Good Luck to All!

Thanks, not sure I have enough for San Diego, my offense has seemed to fizzle in the last quarter of the season. Hopefully they can step it up for the playoff

No question the two best teams are facing off for all the marbles this year.

Good luck to both San Diego and Boston in the WS. Your teams definitely earned it and it's unfortunate one will have to lose.

Congrats San Diego and great job beating those high flying Red Sox. Our series was awesome even in a losing effort:

Game #1:

Montréal Scores 4 in the top of the 9th to tie the game and then wins it with a Tank Sherman solo Home Run in the 12th

Game #2:

San Diego evens the series with an 8-6 win, the teams combine for 14 runs on only 15 hits and the lead changes 3 different times.

Game #3

Montréal takes it second extra inning game with a 4-3 victory in ten innings. SD scores 3 in the first Montréal answers with 3 in the second and it stays that way until Tank Sherman (again the extra inning hero) doubles and Luke McIvor singles to drive him. in.

Game #4

San Diego prevails in another extra inning game 7-5 in 13 innings, after 9 it was tied at 3. Then the fun began in the 11th SD scored a run and Montréal answered with on as well, same thing happens in the 12th with both teams getting a run. Finally SD scores 2 in the 13th and shutdowns Montréal in the bottom of the inning for the victory.

Game #5

Montréal takes a 3-2 series lead with a 5-4 victory. Tank Sherman is the hero again as he hits a walk off solo homer in the bottom of the ninth.

Game #6

SD wins 2-1 and ties the series despite being outfit 9-3 in the game.....

Game #7

SD wins 6-2, game was close until the 7th when SD scored 2 to take the lead and then added 2 more in the 8th.....

Great Series and Congrats......
