I've tried to do this on a few occasions, but never been able to get it done: the manager of the Washington Crooks of the MPL has trained one Sid Bivin as a supersub: at 22, he has red-letter ratings everywhere but catcher.
Looks like he was drafted at 18 as a LF, quickly trained in RF (20/29) and then CF (20/148) in his first two minor league years. Then, to 2B (20/154) by the middle of third year; SS (21/147). 1B (19/84), and finally 3B (19/39) over parts of the years three through five. Cool, in a Bert Campaneris/Cesar Tovar kinda way.

I usually do that with one player on most of my teams. It's like having a 9th batter. Not that you get 9 real hitters in a game, but you get 9 guys with a full season of AB's.
I have a 2B/C in another league, and I'm considering trying to make him a C/IF/OF, but he's hit a wall on his catching improves recently, so I'm not sure if I can pull it off. Plus, even if I do, I think it will be tough for him to keep the catcher rating for more than a couple seasons.
