Darren O'Day had a career defining game going 2 for 3 driving in a run stealing a base and throwing a complete game one hit shutout.
Alejandro De Aza had three hits scored three runs including his first homerun of the season.

In game one Chicago erupted for 12 runs and 15 hits in game one won by Biff Hands (6-3) that included three hits, two home runs and six RBI by David Holmes, Larry Walton hit number 10 and Vern Stoddard number 3.
In the second game there was much less scoring and all of it (2 runs) by Texas as Al Leeper (9-2) shut down the White Sox offense in this one.

Francis Curtis 7-3) allowed just one hit a second inning home run by King Sauer in route to his 7th win against 3 losses.
Paul Nicosa hit a three run homer in the 3rd inning.
