January 01, 2016 at 07:44AM View BBCode

Here is a current assessment of the current minor eval for the WBL 2023 season ... Each team is somewhat analyzed by way of a rating number which was determine by prospects only - not veterans. The rating reflects prospects who have no mentoring value, therefore, teams such as Montreal who only have five qualifying players, their numbers are less valued than those who carry all non-mentoring players.

We're going to switch it up and start with the National League first.

This team has a core of players one or two seasons away from being WBL ready.

Top Pitching Prospects:
22 yrs old RHP Orlando Mejia (TY 2-1 rec w/ 5.40) Only pitched in April 2023 before sent back to minors and has been there since then. Actually, this player was acquired in a huge trade. Potential All-Star

Top Position Player:
19 yrs old SS Ray Corkin probably will hit well vs. LHP but one who lacks arm strength. Could be a valuable offensive weapon. Groomed for many positions. Came in the trade with SP O. Mejia for SP Wade Flanagan

Rating 3.15, Grade B-

Maze, thanks for putting this together! Only thing I'd like to mention is Nathaniel Lewis, in my opinion, is my 3rd best prospect. I would have Andrew Baruch #1 and Noah Valor #2. Connelly is actually the property of Kansas City.

In your case, went with youth ... plus he's a SP which carries more weight. Could've chosen any one of your five available though.
