nintendo numbers!

It will be interesting to see where he finishes the year... only one player in FRL history posted a season with .400+ BA: http://www.simdynasty.com/player.jsp?id=3758886

Not surprising it was during the early 1950's.

Go look up the the other hitters from that era.

In the old days, initial drafts had less depth, but more high end players. Those great players would just feast off the lack of pitching depth.

In the modern day Sim, Hughes would've won because of the bonus points for the high BA. Back then it all counting stats.

You'll notice too, that Hallman (a catcher) was able to play more than 144 games early in his career. A max health catcher today, can only play 144 games.

the opponents are @Oakland & @Chicago, FWIW there is not a big difference (advantage) in ERA for either club when pitching at home compared to their road ERA

however, Cox does not hit as well in away parks (this season or historically), this year's batting average:

Home: .434
Away: .354

Rooting for Cox despite the odds, let's see if he can make FRL history today and be the 2nd player in the .400 club!
