Bob Dent is pinch hitting for Slats Langsford. Pinch hitting for the pitcher because he is tired.
Bob Dent is hit by a pitch.
Rick Donahue strikes out.

After the game:

Bob Dent is injured and is expected to be out 23 days.

Apparently, 36-year-old D health Bob Dent stumbled to first base, watched his teammate strike out, and headed straight for the trainer's room....

I like to visit http://www.baseballheatmaps.com/disabled-list-data/ and set up a "temporary filter" so I can pull up just the injuries for whatever length of time ABE has picked.

In the 2015 data, there are nine injuries that put a player on the DL for 23 days. The most likely one, given the situation above, was a hamstring strain as he jogged down to first.
