70 More Wins in Five Years

This is rare that I do this, and only the second time I've posted on this board, but I wanted to share a testament of salary leagues.
In this league's year 2041, my franchise--then the Pittsburgh Mustangs--was in the dumps. I'm not sure what happened, but the team had gone from winning back-to-back World Series in 2036 & 2037 to going 26-136 in 2041.
They improved to 33-129 in 2042, and then when I took over in early 2043, the team improved to 42 wins, then 53 in 2044 and 77 last season.
And this season, even though I didn't take the division, we jumped to 96-66.
From 26 wins in 2041 to 96 wins in 2046. Plus 70 wins in five seasons.
I've been part of rebuilds before, but nothing quite that drastic. And who knows how long it will last? I've got several starters leaving next season with a huge chunk of change already committed. I guess that's sort of the point, though: you can't rebuild that fast in normal leagues (at least in my opinion). And on the other hand, doing it this way--via free agency and trades--means the rebuild won't last as long (again, at least in my opinion).
But damn, that was an exhilarating ride. Now on the playoffs! Good luck to the owners of Cincinnati, Washington and Oakland.

Congrats! This is why I'll never move to any format that isn't a salary league.
