I rarely have guys that finish high up all-time leaderboards, but since we don't have a Hall of Fame, I wanted to give a shout-out to Jack Abernathy, long-time Brooklyn closer.

He finished with 513 saves, sixth all time!

Very nice ...I like long term closers that are productive..alot of owners I have learned really don't care for closer stats unless they are contending in one single season

I'm guilty of that. I usually have no patience for closers and just cycle through to the hot hand. But in this case Abernathy kept me mostly calm for a dozen seasons.

I think I kept Sasser in the closer role longer because he had amassed a lot of saves....
