As of now, he's 20th in Hits, 15th in Runs, 10th in Steals, 11th in Doubles, 4th in ABs while 6th in Walks. I just don't understand how the player is batting .273 with 61 RBIs in 116 games so far. The 16 HRs is above-pace, I guess. Math is hard, but I've seen this on other owners' teams when a player is rolling in their prime and suddenly tanks. It makes me suspicious, especially when one is taking over a team and this happens regularly enough. Makes me think there's a "failsafe" in the Sim to keep owners from booking to a winning team and pumping up their win percentage.
No, haha, that does happen. But the failsafe only kicks in when I take over a maybe-WS contender with upside, add some pieces, and watch it flop like a dead fish. Though that's not what's happening here, just the odd "loss" of a star player's per-usual dominant numbers.
Alternately, PHI is getting more than expected from other players who aren't as impressive as Naktenis, so perhaps there's something in that.

OF Naktenis has frustrated me all year, my first season. He's a four-time All-Star who had averaged .290-17-100 the last few seasons.
