I understand that the merger process is not ideal, but this league has been going on longer than anyone with a quarter of the league run by bots. Thus, during this offseason, the league will merge with the Al Simmons League.
The merge will occur after the amateur draft but before the new season.
Note that we have two human owners leaving as well, so we may still have a couple of bots next season. If those human owners want to stay and give the merge a try, please post a private message in Support.

After the league vote on the merger, the vote was 8-0 with three "no opinion" of the human-controlled teams.I understand that the merger process is not ideal, but this league has been going on longer than anyone with a quarter of the league run by bots. ok one of the things we have do with the leagues is resolve which of the following teams will move. ABE can have only team in each league city. In the AL we have conflicts in Boston, Washington, Minnesota, and Chicago. and the NL only Philadelphia. I know wheels has been in Philadelphia for a long time in the Simmons. And Pogo has had Chicago AL in the Simmons for quite some time. The available teams off the top of my head are AL Cleveland, Oakland, California, LA AL, Texas and Tampa Bay. I am not going to a 24 team league so Minions can have Chicago!! and you may have a lot more bots than you think as I think 3 people for ASL are going to a different dynasty league. if you have 2 owners form Willie Davis then that's 5 maybe 6 or 7 or 8 who know so for a 24 team league you now have 16-18 teams to trade with hmmm???

Have you been in one before? There is absolutely nothing wrong with them. Just like any other league in SIM, sometimes the drafts are good, sometimes not. Please tell me you're not leaving for that reason alone?

I am in a 24 team league team right now with a couple of my friends. I do not like it as much as the 16 teams I have been in there 4-5 years now. I have stuck it out but really prefer the Dynasty(16 teams). The draft stinks, one year I had 3 1st round picks and still not much to show for my team it will take years still to rebuild. With the Dynasty 16 teams it usually takes 8-10 years. I'm thinking with the 24 teams it will be like 13-17 years to rebuild just my opinion.

If it's taking 8-10 years to rebuild a team, you may want to think about how you're rebuilding your teams.

Hey guys I have gotten a lot of heat in the ASL for the merger but Chris really has no choice and as had been pointed out rebuilds aren't any harder. You just have to be smarter in your choices. We will see how many cross over we may be a 16 team merged league who knows.

Couple things 1950srobot I just checked and you and I are both in a 24 team league together. When I am in a smaller league I would have realized that along time ago. You have been in and out of the Willie davis league and even in the Al simmons league a couple of times. I have been in basically 3 leagues Al simmons for 53 seasons and the Larry doby for basically 45 season and now the Keller Stargell league for 5 years. I have done several rebuilds and for have a winning record overall in both leagues with more tha 20 years in the league I think I make enough smart choices. So MICHAELyou and the 1950SROBOT may want to check your owner card against mine before telling me I should think about rebuilds and making smarter choice.. STATS are FACTS!!!!

And as for you MR lemaster You must know your stuff Your owner card looks awesome, I just don't know which leagues are which in there(16 teams vs 24 team leagues) but I am speaking from my own very short experience(24 team league). My point being to whole situation with the merger is that I knew the guys in Al Simmons we did a lot of trading back and forth hard fought battles for years and it was same in the Larry Doby league as well! Then one owner left and then another and another and so forth. You have new guys come in and start new relationships with each. So I knew everyone, in a 24 team league 1950srobot are in a league together. I just now realized it and he must have not realized it either or he would have said something earlier???. Every once in while you will have a guy like Michael who comes in to the picture and is just a thorn in your side maybe he hates losing I am not sure(oh yeah stats are Facts he does have a losing record lol) that said I do give him props for his persistence!!! But this isn't my first Rodeo either Good luck to all in whatever direction you may be going!!!

So what are the rules going to be for this league? I'm looking for a 24 man league. Also the drafts are no worse than a 16 man league and I feel they are a little better but certainly not worse.

But if this new league attracts a couple more quality owners from the outside, we'll have a blast. Like Mr1313 who is thinking about joining. Never let the thorn dictate your actions.

No doubt about that. I'm just responding to the "fact" that it take 8-10 seasons to rebuild a team, and how that translates to 32 years or whatever you said in a 24-teamer. I'm sure you know what you're doing, but I don't need to address the Owner Cards when owners speak. I judge what they're actually saying, not what their Card says. And what YOU are saying is erroneous; rebuilds take exactly as long as they take in 16-teamers, unless you're one of those owners that has to have a red-letter player and a plus-player back-up at every position. I don't usually shoot for that myself, which may be the problem, admittedly.

8-10 years(sim dynasty seasons) I took over my 1st team in 1960 I won my 1st World series in 1970 so I probably contended from say 1968-1975 ish then back in the playoff hunt again in 1983ish Won World series again in 1984 so there is a typically pattern there!!! Pretty long stretch from 1984-1993 winning on a regular basis then 10 years later Won another world series in 2003 8-10 years sim dynasty years that is!!! I have been in a rebuild from day 1 with 24 team league my team is dead last right now 5 years(sim dynasty seasons) into the rebuild I am guessing it will take at least 8 more years to be a contender.. I stated this was my opinion 13-17 years not 32 years??? You and Michael both bad mouth me by saying I need to make better choices if its taking that long for a rebuild!!No I don't believe in having a red letter back up in every position.. When my rebuild is complete and I win my next world series in the 24 team league, I will let you know exactly how long it takes!!! But from my past experience I think I have enough Facts to say it roughly takes 8-10 years(sim dynasty seasons) to do a nice rebuild and then contend in a 16 team league!!! I have been in many leagues, true, have a losing record in most of them, true. And have been persistent about this merger. I am not sorry about that when I started playing in SimD every team would sell in the offseason but as the game got to predictable for math heads and they got bored and the game was no longer evolving folks left. I started buying into teams to help Chris and Tyson out but even that would not help those leagues and the ASL was the same. So I started pushing merger. As for Rebuild I have done that with three teams my Cool Papa Bell team, my Wally Berger team just as Bahston bought into the league and ripped off a lot of red letter players, and Seattle in the ASL. I apologize Pogomogo for questioning your playing style but not for "killing your league" apathy did that.
