2036 Playoffs

October 31, 2016 at 05:35AM View BBCode

Is this where I get to complain like KC does how silly it is a team that I beat by a dozen plus games would have the audacity to beat me in a playoff series?

In all seriousness, nice job, KC. Good luck in the WS.

Yup.

I thought the same thing.

We did however finish 12-12 H2H this season with each team holding huge 8-4 home field advantages.

And that played out until game 6 when my lefty finally took advantage of the BLT hitting splits. That was really a 3-2 game with 4 unearned runs in the 9th providing the extra cushion.

For whatever reason, KC pitchers handled the BLT middle of the order this time around. Made a huge difference.

My biggest rants have generally been about fielding collapses. This series didn't really have any although 2 of the 3 errors that did occur led to important runs at the time. But they balanced out. Quite different than last seasons 8-3 error mismatch.

Its been a great rivalry over the years. Something like 15 series in the playoffs, BLT holding a comfortable 10-5 advantage. Different ownership styles but both successful. Just that your teams were always built better for the playoffs with top of the draft power and pitching. My teams to this point never lost 100 games, and lost 90 only twice.

But make no mistake, I wasn't planning on watching the World Series today.

Well, now you have reason to! Bring it home.

Looks like KC is 1-3 vs SD all time in the series. Only win in 1973.

Pitching is holding up through 5 games...dreaded games 6 & 7 in SD pending.

Congrats once again, Swordeman. Well done.

Back-to-back titles yet once more.

Thank you guys. Always an honor to compete against Splinter.

With declines San Diego expects to fall back this season. Already sold off two studs. Have an impact bat sitting on the bench to give young guys experience so anyone want Harper I'm listening.

Good luck all
