WBL - End of the Season Report - Playoff Analysis (2032)

July 09, 2017 at 12:06AM View BBCode

HTP = Highly Top Prospect, TP = Top Prospect

ROY = Rookie of the Year, LY = Last Year, TY = This Year, (r) = (Ranked in the WBL), Teams with * = Playoff Contenders

And we have a NEW playoff NL entry ... congrats to all the playoff teams, but especially to the Atlanta Peaches who battled the final two weeks all the way up to the end to earn a post-season spot. For the first time since ...season 2025, three teams finished with 100+ wins making the NL race the excitement inside the WBL. Atlanta ran off on an amazing streak 27-5 since Aug 27th taking half of Goliath out of the equation. Inside that stretch, the Peaches went 4-2 vs. St. Louis which pretty much claim the wildcard from their heads-up play. Montreal went into cruise control resting many of their starters for the playoffs. For the AL, it was pretty much a 2-team race for 1st place as Oakland storm past LY AL WBL rep - the Washington Hendersons. With a pitching staff that is supreme, the Athletics are for real. The Henderson's offense wasn't as potent as seasons past, but were fortune to get great pitching too from a solid vet core.

Can the Peaches make it past the All-Star Hoser squad? Experience may decide the winner or will the MVP Samson Macon and All-Star Jim Krug and Co. take a stand a defeat Goliath once and for all?

Oakland carries some phenom pitching going into the post-season. Washington will be a tough out. They will sure to ride the wave of 10-time All-Star Ron Swanson to the WBL Series.

HRs and RS were up TY in the AL and OPS% was up in both leagues. The NL pitching dominance is fading overall as each team is performing better vs. the top 3 teams.

On a personal note, I re-up for the 2034 season on July 7th, but the Dynasty dollars have yet to be added as of this post -24 hours ago. I sent Chris a message, but nothing thus far. It would be a shame to leave Sim D on this measure for I wouldn't even know how to get refund since I never received me Dynasty Dollars. If any of u can help with the situation, it would be apprecitated.

This will be Montreal's 33rd consecutive playoff run ... To add insult to the pain of the rest of the Wally Berger League, they won WBL title 21 times since year 2000.
