Toronto swept a three game series at home with the New York mess one series after they were taken to task by Anaheim in the first three game series of the six game home stand.
Vern Taylor out pitched New York ace Craig Escobar in game one by a score of 2-1.
Marty Slagle hit his 3rd homerun and closer McClellan Yellowhorse earned his fourth save.
Left hander Ramon went seven and two thirds innings for the win in game two for the win. Duckworth ran into big trouble in the eight when he gave up two runs on three hits. Duckworth left with two on and two outs.
Gary Smith came in and gave up a triple to Harry Mangus, both runs charge to Duckworth.
Pinch hitter Levi lee singled in Mangus to close the score to 7-6 and McClellan closed out the game for second save during the series.
A good pitching match up in game three never really developed into much. Don Swhwartzkopf went five innings and joe Stephenson six for new York six.
The Blue Jays were trailing and the ship was listing dangerously in the bottom of the sixth inning when Johnny Swindell hit a two run homerun off Stephenson cut the lead TO ONE (6-5).
The Jays turned to a different formula to score two more runs in the seventh.
Pinch hitter George White doubled to right field off Fred Gooden. pinch hitter Pat Pemberton flied out. White scored on Hague second triple of the season.
Harry Bradley lifted a sacrifice fly to left center that easily scored Hague.
Pinch hitter Willie hunter contributed in that role once again with a single to left field. Hunter stole second base, went to third on a ground out and scored the final run on pinch hitter Chris Spencer's single up the middle.
Yellowhorse made it three saves in three games with another scoreless ninth inning.
First place Anaheim dropped its second straight its second straight series with one of the top three teams; Tampa to allow both Tampa and Toronto,
