League future

Clearly this league is broken.

I've already had owners claim it's one owner causing the problems but the way this came is set up it is impossible for a single owner to break a league through trades. He has to have trading partners and enough other owners in cahoots to approve the trade or enough owners who simply don't care enough to protest trades. This system works in every league but this one.

This will no longer continue.

This league has a couple of options:

- Shut down. All owners will have their Dynasty Dollars for this and future seasons refunded. If you prefer to move that credit to an available Dynasty team currently run by a DynastyBot you will get an additional season for free. IF THE TRADE ABUSE RELOCATES TO ANOTHER LEAGUE THE ABUSER WILL BE REMOVED WITHOUT REFUND.

- Convert to a 3 gpd Subscription league, with the threshold for trade protests set at 50% rather than 66% to make it even harder for trade abuse to continue.

OPTIONS THAT ARE NOT AVAILABLE:

- Continuing as a Dynasty league.

- Throwing out only a single owner (see my note above about the number of owners it takes to pull this stunt off).

If this thread becomes an argument, it and the league will shut down.

I will not do a subscription league. I would like credit for next season's league. If you all want to go private have fun. If you want to leave the Dom Dimaggio has like 6 openings and some good owners. consider them if go that route. I am not a member of that league.

I do not want to keep going in a subscription league. Please send credit to my team in the RKL.

It doesn't appear that a private league is any different than a dynasty league. Unless someone can tell me what the glaring differences are then it does look like the same thing.

I have been in subscriptions leagues, am in one now actually. The difference is you get to vote on different rules and systems. Also you pay month to month instead of like dynasty where you pay per season.

Ok, but isn't the price exactly the same? And voting on things could be super fun.

Price, i'm not sure. I think it might come out to be a little more with the subscription leagues. I pay $5.25 a month.

In my experience the voting thing tends to be one or two people pushing their agenda. To me that is not super fun.

I am not a fan of the abandonment of this league. I am very annoyed about the way it has played out since the addition of a certain owner, but have put all this in perspective and decided that I would just focus on my team developing players and careers. I have been enjoying this aspect of the game. To start over after getting several players to some really good career numbers would be very disappointing. I am in a subscription league, it seems a bit more expensive.....and, would we be able to remove the cancer by doing this?

Well I would most likely be out if it moves to subscription. If I am the cancer you are referring to then yes, it would most likely work. :D

I don't think if changes anything, only makes voting down trades easier. It might cost the league a couple owners too.

I personally don't want the league to fold nor go to a sub league )especially if it is month by month payment). If we do switch, I will stay to finish out me term but not renew ... I like me team right now the way it is.

Is there a link that lists what teams are being run by DynastyBots at the moment?

I looked at some of those teams. Not sure I am down with doing a private league I assume its a road to a slow death but those are some poorly situated teams to be moving over too.

I am going to try it. I don't want to do it, but I am going to at least give it a go to see if it helps. If everyone stays for ONE season to see where it goes then we can reevaluate. This is not an ideal situation and honestly it sucks, but I love playing with MOST of the teams in this league and for the most part we have some pretty good owners. It would really suck for some of you to leave to take over a crappy bot team and start all over again. Some of you have worked really hard to get your team to where it's at. We are talking about years of rebuilding for some of you. Sure you get a refund for a season, but in my opinion it's worth the risk to stick it out and not throw away all of those other seasons that are lost.

What if admin let us all stay in the private league for one year for FREE to test the waters sort of say. There's no financial risk that way and everyone is free to leave after that one season. Not sure if admin would even do that, but if they are willing to refund people then I would think they would be willing to give a season up for free to save a league.

The league is already in tact with owners and teams. It's not ideal for the site to just transfer funds to different teams and leagues. This takes time and time is money.

Would everyone agree to stick it out for ONE year if that was the case. This is all hypothetical at this point, but was just wondering if that would do the trick.

No to Pecker's idea. He wants me gone and so I will leave. I like some private leagues but we would need to have assurances that not only Pecker's agenda would be carried out in league rule votes. Recent events have shown I am a minority. I will leave and not stop you from having the league you want. I wish everyone the best.

Michael we are trying to have a discussion about the future of this league. If you don't want to join in with productive conversation that is fine, but these little digs are pretty ridiculous. I don't have an agenda here. If you truly think that the league did all of this because they didn't want you to compete and get better then I can't help you because honestly this whole thing really didn't have anything to do with you. Sure you were caught in the middle of all of this, but that was your choice. And yes you are the minority just like I am. We all have ONE voice and ONE vote.

What happens to our assets like future additional draft picks?

There is zero real cost difference. You pay 10.50 for two months in subscription vs 10.95 for a two month season in Dynasty. The season is slightly shorter as you will do longer have the few days wait between seasons.
