Randy Moss

January 09, 2005 at 11:34PM View BBCode

What did he do last week that the announcers are talking about that "galvanized" the team?

He walked off of the field with 2 seconds left to go.

His team was getting ready for an onside kick to try and come up with a miracle to win the game and he walked off before the game was over.

he left during the last seconds of their loss last week. I guess it has somehow pulled the team together.

DANG IT ANOTHER PICK! Now I am getting worried.

Im rooting for the Pack too. I think my bandwagon faith will somehow spur them to victory.

He knocked out Ivan Drago in a bout on Christmas Day.

And you should be worried.

He mooned the crowd :o

That is awesome!!

He just pretended to moon the crowd, mimed pulling his pants down and all that.

"Oh no, don't pretend to pull your pants down at us, Mr. Tall African-American with the cartoonish afro. It offends our puritan sensibilities here in Green Bay."

Here is why people think that athletes today are worse people than they were 30 years ago: because every single second of every single day there are sports radio and sports TV shows playing all around the country where hosts need desperately to find topics to fill up airspace (aka the dead air between commercials). 30 years ago there were no lengthy pregame and postgame shows where people nattered about this crap incessantly. Now there are, so on the postgame show on TV and on radios today and on the internet everyone is glomming on to this incident like it mattered. It didn't. It was just Randy Moss showing up the fans in Green Bay (who dislike him to begin with) because the Vikings were kicking the crap out of the Packers.

he didn't moon the crowd. he pretended to take a dump in the end zone and wipe his butt on the goalpost. still think that is awesome?

A person would have to be 12 to think that was a cool thing to do.

I didn't think it was particularly funny but it didn't offend my virgin eyes. I'd already forgotten about it until this morning, actually.

All of these people railing against it, and yet how many of these people thought Dumb and Dumber was hilarious? Or Austin Powers? How about There's Something About Mary?

Scatological humor is hilarious until our least favorite black athlete does it, then it's the end of Western Civilization.

I saw the play. I figured it was pretty stupid on his part, but Giorge has a good point as always.

Wish I had a ribbon to give... :(

I'm not sure which commentator was going ape shit about it, but the network was careful not to let that segment of the replay air when they went back and showed the catch.

Just another idiot acting like an idiot.

Don't try to tell me it's about personal expression.

Don't try to tell me it's some crime against humanity.

The point that we're still talking about has everything to do with what Furious said, Too much coverage and too few stories. There's also the deteriorated relationship between players and the media.

Jack Buck was all pissed. And I hate both teams, but I don't hate Favre, so that was kind of disappointing how much he completely sucked.

Moss is a negative vacuum on the Vikings, if anything the media UNDERCOVERS his own teams intense hatred of him and how much guys on his own team want to...well take a dump on him. Once again the Vikings get to read all about Moss instead of how the team as a whole played their best game EVER under Mike Tice and once again Tice's reputation takes a major hit as his blatant favortism towards the juvenile Moss is exposed. Tice coached an amazing game, far better than I thought he was capable of but Randy Moss made damn sure that it's he who will get the press. Flat out no one in the league wants to play with the guy, the problem is only going to get worse-the Vikings apparently didn't learn any lessons from the Ron Artest debacle. This is simply another VERY sad story about how guys like Darryl Strawberry and Mike Tyson are allowed to go wayyyyyyyyy out of bounds mentally and behaviorally simply because they have athletic talent and no one wants to risk pissing them off, an ugly reminder that we will allow people to self-destruct for our own amusement.

Give a guy a break. It's obvious he meant Joe Buck, namby-pamby.

Eh, the other dude. His son. Joe. They may have the shortest combined father/son/last name length ever. 11 letters.

I know that, and you know I know that, and you know the only reason I wrote that is so I could use the line "fortunately for him, he's dead" which is why my sense of humor is so sophistimacated.

Ron Artest? Please. Thuggery is different from crude showboating. No contest.

Maybe I'd appreciate your humor a little more if you just made fart noises and mimed taking a dump on the message boards.

Score!

Setting the stage very nicely for my next post...

At the risk of taking this even further off-topic, as well as further into the scatological realm, I have a little piece of evidence which should hopefully convince you, the jury, that my client Randy Moss has done nothing wrong.
