Shawn Green?

I've been kind of wary of his pending trade to the Arizona Diamondbacks, what with his desire to stay on the west coast and finish his career as a Dodger, which would no doubt be an honor for any player, given the heritage of the franchise.
However, with my brother being stationed in AZ, there is the distinct possibility that were he ever on leave and my family were able to catch him out there during the summer, we wouldn't have to worry about trying to catch a Dodgers/D'Backs series just for me to see Green play were he to be traded.
Despite my thoughts on the subject, what are your opinions on this trade, if any? I only mentioned it because Shawn Green has been my favorite hitter ever since I discovered the name.

For the last few years, he's been more of a financial burden than a true help to the Dodgers. It could have been because of injury, or he could be degressing. Back when he was one of the better players in the league, he was rather steaky, and last year he hit something like .199 with RISP. Add that to the fact he doesn't walk to DePodesta's standards, DePodesta felt he was expendable. Comparititvely Saenz/Choi had similar numbers to Green last year.
My biggest problem with the trade is that the Dodgers don't seem to be getting enough considering they're paying $10 million. Navarro is good, and Juarez is pretty good, but Beltran Perez is nothing more than a decent relief prospect, and Muegges is more or less a single-A roster filler
Being a Dodger fan, I will not miss Green. I liked him as a Dodger, but he was never my favorite. The trade allows the Dodgers to get Lowe, who, despite being overpaid, is needed badly.
