I hope Carroll and York listen to Ronnie Lott. Anyway who do u think will be the coach of niners?

The 49ers are at the worst point in franchise history, but if they can get pete caroll and pick leinart #1, i believe the niners will recover quickly.

Yea, say you're Carrol:
Option A- Stay at USC, one of the best powerhouses in college football. This train aint slowin down any time soon.
Option B- Go to SF. The pay is probably better, but I'm sure you've heard what they say about those who marry for money: they earn it. You would labor for 3+ years getting the niners back on track (If a bunch of ignorant losers didn't fire you first because you inherited a bad team).

another factor is just that Caroll is still earning big buck and he is having fun. How much fun does it look on an NFL sideline

Mike Holmgren will NOT be the next SF head coach. Nor will it be Carroll. I am thinking Mike Shanahan, but he and the owner are very good personal friends, so I'm not sure how that's going to work. It's possible the owner goes to Shanahan and tells him that the team needs to be shaken up and to not take it personal and move on. We'll see. However, I don't think Shanahan is the savior to the 49ers.

As much as I hate to say this, because I'm just not a fan of the guy, I think Jim Fassel will be the new head of coach of the Niners. York has made it clear he wants a guy with a winning record in the NFL, and to al the detriments Fassel has against him, he has made it to a Super Bowl (Even if he did get demolished there).

The rest of the coaches on that list are either satisfied with where they are, or much more likely to go somewhere else (Crennel to the Browns, most likely).

There is no way Carroll will leave USC. I don't even know why people are discussing him as an option.

Well he probably won't but it would be better to leave right after a national championship then a year later like nick saban.

The Niners aren't looking at any college coaches or assistants, right? York said he wanted a guy with a winning record. Sort of hamstrings him in choosing from available coaches.

Then again, he could always trade for a coach ala Tampa Bay.:lol:

Carrol has said there is no *insert expletive here*ing way that he is going to go the San Fran. He's telling the truth. There's no need to even bring it up.
