Age catches up to them. Brown KOing Jeter is also very likely, but I'm only allowed to vote once

Yeah, the fun is rooting against them and watching them lose when they do so much to win as a group of All-Stars, not a team. It's kinda like... the Simpsons, the ultimate dysfunctional family except the only talented one in the family is Lisa... Just like Jeter is the glue in the team that gets the best out of his teammates. That's why they have had infinitely better players on their teams in the last 4 years than they did in the late 90s and they haven't won a single WS! Yeah!

Hmm... The Yankees have been beating the Red Sox for 86 out of the last 87 years. I would have to say that the odds are still heavily in their favor. And last year could have just been an abberation, but its pretty hard to argue that the past 86 years have all been abberations.

good point Abdrew, this doesnt really go with the discussion but Im gonna say that #1 is thae most likely to happen although I think his numbers will be around, .275, 15HR, 60 RBI. even with out steriods this guy can play, but they have a negative affect on your body after you quit (from what I understand) so he should she a drop this year, if he is clean. but I think he will end up posting numbers simaler to his brother

The great thing is- we've won one now, and it feels great. There's little to nothing Yankees fans can say to bother us, though I know they'll try.
I will still admit that the Yankees will continue to be a successful team, and by ALDS time in 2005 they'll be close to or at the top, per usual. Giambi, however, will not be the dynamo he once was. I look forward to watching Randy Johnson though. He'll be a terror in pinstripes, and fun to watch.

As a Red Sox fan, I admit it's frustrating that though Yankees fans can no longer chant "1918" and actually bother us, they can and will still brag about their team's 26 world series rings.The great thing is- we've won one now, and it feels great. There's little to nothing Yankees fans can say to bother us, though I know they'll try.

I'm surprised that no one's picked Randy Johnson to have less than 20 starts as of yet. Maybe under 20 is too many missed games, but I'd think having no cartilage in one knee and the fact that he's older than dirt would make him a likely DL candidate...

He has pitched 220+ innings in 3 of the last 4 seasons and throughout his career has been a very very durable pitcher. Sure there is a chance that he will miss time but looking over his history that seems unlikely.Pages: 1 2
