ME and the Nats

The Nats playing the Rockies could't have come at a better time! Nothing like curing a bad streak with a set with the Rocks. If the Reds can sweep them, so can the Nats. Of course, the Reds swept the Nats too. What's up with that?
Even though I voted for the Angels to win the WS in the poll, I'm rooting for the Nats. Mainly to stick it in the face of those crazy Canucks in Montreal.

Your hatred for Canada is disturbing and unwarranted, I demand your resignation immediately...

Thanks to:
for bringing in:
Mr. I finally got my SLG over .500! I am awesome and far underpaid at $4.2M per year for the next 4 years! Oh wait, that's my OPS. Wow, I really suck. I pray to God every day and thank him that there are people like Jim Bowden in this world who, for no good reason, will ensure my financial future for the rest of my life.
and
Mr. I love Denver. And RBIs. Those are the two greatest things ever created, because put together, they make me look like a really, really good player who will play a key role on a contending team even though I'm 38. Woohoo! I should be a bench warmer, but I get to play every day even though there are other better, younger, cheaper players around and I get a cool $6+M over the next two years.
and let's not forget Mr. recently-released Wil Cordero, the dominating star. I had 6 hits this year, two of which I got to second base on. i also got walked 3 whole times - once even intentionally! I also got out 47 times, (but nobody counts those, meaning they are obviously worthless)
It becomes sad to imagine what this team could have done if they had been as lucky as they have been and had average or even replacement-level production out of the left side of the infield. Was there really something horrible about 3B, SS, and RF being filled by Brendan Harris, Maicer Izturis, and Juan Rivera all making near the minimum instead of 2 players who don't deserve that and one pretty good one?

Youppi! doesn't bother me.

Jim Bowden is a master GM, and I was sorry to see him leave Cincy. He can find, and get one or two good seasons out of retreads. There have been so many come to Cincinnati, do well, leave after signing a large free agent contract, and never be heard from again, I can't think of any off the top of my head. Although Greg Vaughn comes to mind. He did it with a handful of pitchers too.

He might have gotten lucky a few times, but he has an unhealthy man-crush on overrated veterans.
And yes, I did like Montreal (when I got really into baseball about 4 years ago) before they came to Washington. I wore my Expos shirt to the Nationals game tonight.

Yes, but I stayed till the end. Felt like a simdynasty game with Sun Woo Kim left in (even to hit once) after getting raped multiple times.
