The Nats' ace, Livan Hernandez, said "It's 99.9 percent I'm not going to pitch no more." He went on to say "I'm not happy for three years. After the season, I'm going to tell you why." Then he followed that up with this, "It's not the doctors. It's me. I'm the doctor. I don't need it, but I'm going to have an operation." He went on to say that he is mad at someone (or something) but would not explain what when asked claiming that he would say at the end of the season.
I'm not sure if he's just wacky or if his English is bad or alittle of both but he seems bent on having surgery on his knee that would keep him out for the rest of the season. Not good news for the slumping Nats who are fading fast. They were talking about possibly adding a pitcher to compliment Hernandez but now it looks like they'll need to find one to replace him.

Hmm, he will go on to pitch. He's just going through a dry spell.
