Is this article correct? 36,000 is a sellout at Commiskey? I could have sworn that place held like 50,000.September 22, 2005 at 05:05AM View BBCode

I don't know. . . that would be such a crafty play that I expect there is some rule against it, like the infield fly rule or the rule prohibiting intentionally getting hit by a pitch.September 22, 2005 at 05:18AM View BBCode

What the heck was Guillen thinking when he left Garland in to pitch to Hafner in the 8th inning? He was up to like 110 pitches and they had a lefty in the pen - Garland is probably going to have to leave the game after Hafner anyhow - why not bring in the lefty?
In the 7th inning, Indians have the bases loaded with 1 out. Blake hits a grounder towards short - Belliard is on 2nd base and he is headed towards third. Its obviously going to be a double play, so Belliard kind of hops over the ball on purpose, trying to distract the Sox SS. Here's my question, what would have happened if he let the ball hit him on the basepaths? I know he's automatically out, but would the run have been allowed to score?
