BoHoL HOF Rules

December 08, 2005 at 03:05AM View BBCode

Alright. Here are the official Bob Horner League Hall of Fame Rules

Eligible Nominees

Players must have played at least eight seasons.

The player must have been retired for one year.

Balloting

There's no limit of the players who appear on the ballot.

A player must be nominated, and must meet the requirements above.

An owner may vote for as few as zero nominees or may vote for a maximum of eight nominees.

To be inducted into the Bob Horner League Hall of Fame, a player must receive 2/3 of the votes cast in any given year. We need at least 10 owners to vote, and you can vote by either submitting them on a public thread or by u2u-ing them to myself, or the person who is running the voting.

If a player recieves 4 votes, then he shall remain on the ballot for the next year. This number does not change based on the number of owners voting.

If a player is not elected after 7 years, they shall be removed from voting list.

At the beginning of every September nominations will start. Nominations will end at the end of the season. Voting will take place the next ten days after that. Faster voting is always appreciated.

Nomination Process

Each owner should pay special attention to nominating his own players once they retire. For the expansion owners, they should look back at the records for help. Owners who have been around for a long time are also welcomed to look back on record books to help new owners when nominating.

When nominating a player, include his name, primary position, team(s), and career stats. Feel free to include his All-Star appearances (starts included), awards and any close finishes, or points of interest (such as WS rings, and records) and anything else you think might help consideration.
