This is unbelievable!! It's 21-3!!! I mean, I did pick Pit to win, but this is crazy!

A 3-point first half is simply not enough offense for a top-seed playing at home, and that performance again rests on Manning's shoulders. Subtract the final touchdown on what was obviously a biased replay call by the official, and you have 10 points of offense from the Golden Child.

The Manning apologists will have plenty of excuses, but the Steelers deserved this win, and the magic man is still a pumpkin. Pete Morelli suckles from the teet of the Indianapolis Colts. Probably the most egregious call on a replay in NFL history. since I hate both the Steelers and Broncos, I am definitely rooting for the Seahawks from here on out.....as long as Alexander plays.

I think the Coaching staff has more to do with that loss then any one player on the Colts.

I think we have another New York - Baltimore game shaping up. Maybe one of the star players can be involved in a murder and get away with, so there will be some interesting story lines, at least.

Can you imagine a Pittsburgh Steelers-Chicago Bears Super Bowl matchup? I know the event itself transcends the teams involved, but can you imagine a less compelling match-up? Well...maybe. Carolina - Denver probably wouldn't be too compelling, either.I think we have another New York - Baltimore game shaping up. Did anyone catch the little finger-wiggle that VanderJerk gave to the Pittsburgh bench when they called that TO to ice him ?Reminds me of when he gave the Pats bench the "money" sign a few years back - before missing THAT kick too !!!

Since I don't see too many Colts game in Columbus, does Peyton often override the coach, refuse to come of the field, and go for it on 4th down?

Thats not what happened. The punt team just ran out there. Dungy had already called the play into the offense.

According to Dungy, he was planning on going for that one, and the punt team just got a little overanxious.

Manning was leading his receivers and folded against the blitz. By the grace of Pete Morelli he had the opportunity to be a hero. Granted, this is a team sport, but the Colts have to score more than 18 at home, especially with the officials in their backpocket.

That is basically what the announcers where saying at the time. Dungy explained it in the post-game

The Stteelers, Bears are two of the older, more storied franchises in the NFL. And with the SB in Detroit this year, there might be the chance for actual FANS of the two teams to go to the game.
Too bad they can't take the roof off of Ford Field and let the Bears and the Steelers play in good, old-fashioned, football weather. That would be pretty classic after all...the Bears and the Steelers in the snow. I could get excited about that.

I guess at this point I'm hoping for a Steelers-Bears matchup. I like Cowher and Lovie Smith, both. I think Cowher is one of the more underrated coaches in the league, and Smith has done a great job turning Chicago around. Whisky is right, Manning (and the entire offense) played pretty bad for most of that game. There is enough blame to go around (the O-line didn't do a great job picking up the blitz, for example), but Manning was overthrowing and leading his receivers too much (some of that could be because his recievers were running the wrong routes, but in the end it's Manning's job to make sure everyone is on the same page). I still believe that Manning is the most talented QB in the league and that Tom Brady gets alittle too much credit for his team's success, but in this game Manning did not play like the QB he is cracked up to be.
