I didn't want to start too far back (say the 50's- 70's) since I never saw those guys play. However, I do want to make a case for A-Rod (strikeouts and all) as being my first choice after 1980 narrowly over Henderson (saw him towards the end, but great lasting power and production in runs), Bonds (questionable steriods use), Griffey (injuries slowed production and playing time), Pujols (Still has time to change my mind), Vlad Guerrero (Injuries slowed him down as well), and Ichiro (didn't play entire career in MLB).

barry bonds, without question. people forget that he won something like 5 mvp's and a slew of gold gloves BEFORE the roids.

I think you have Biggio too high.

You can add Schmidt & Brett since they were still playing and were still in their primes. If you saw them while they were playing after 1980 and you would consider them on your list, that's cool as well.[color=Black][/color]

If you take roids out of the equation then it's clearly Bonds. If you don't, then you're head will probably explode. The fact that everyone hated him doesn't change the numbers--the man was the most dangerous hitter in the game for a very long time.I think either Maddux or Clemens could make a case for pitchers.
