All the other off-brand sports have one.December 29, 2008 at 07:35PM View BBCode
My sis's BF works for the capitals, and he said Alex Semin dresses basically about as gay as you can possibly can (girls jackets and all). And also he pretends to not speak english so he doesnt have to speak to the media even though he seems to speak it fine whenever he actually wants something.December 29, 2008 at 07:44PM View BBCode
Yeah, Semin has a really shitty reputation. He's a good hockey player though. Other than AO, he probably has the most natural talent on the Caps, but he can be lazy. Backstrom probably has the better future. Also, I forgot about Mike Green. The Caps are probably closer than they've ever been to putting together a real run as a top-tier team over the next few seasons. Considering the shape that the Skins, Nats and Wizards are in, DC might finally rediscover the Caps (they sell out pretty well, and they have a strong home-ice advantage, but they still tend to get shafted by the DC media).December 29, 2008 at 07:47PM View BBCode
I watched a period of the Devils-Rangers game on...Friday. Or Saturday, maybe. Anyway, every time I watch hockey, I think that I could sort of get into it, but then I go a few months without watching a game, and I completely forget about it. But there are streams available for, like, every game on atdhe, so maybe I'll start watching it more often.December 29, 2008 at 07:53PM View BBCode
The Winter Classic is so awesome. Thursday's going to be the best.December 31, 2008 at 05:28AM View BBCode
Another day, another win. The Sabres deserve it for having such stupid, stupid uniforms.December 31, 2008 at 05:47PM View BBCode
Here: My favorite hockey team for a while was the Ottawa Senators. Why? Because they had, if I remember correctly, four Slovaks on their roster, including two from my buddy's hometown. Chara and Hossa were the two from Trencin.January 07, 2009 at 05:36AM View BBCode
i like watching washington play quite a lot actually. some of what ovechkin does on the ice i'm pretty sure is physically impossible. a very fast team, with a lot of skill and just enough physicality to not get pushed around. they remind me a lot of the team buffalo had a couple years ago before briere and drury left.January 07, 2009 at 06:43AM View BBCode
It wasn't snowing. i wanted it to snow. But what do I know? I am a Florida Panthers fan.January 07, 2009 at 06:51AM View BBCode
You know it's funny, I was watching highlights the other night and they showed the Panthers and I thought to myself, my God, the Florida Panthers still exist, I'd completely forgotten about them. (Sorry, it's easy, but actually 100% true)January 07, 2009 at 07:01AM View BBCode
yeah, so washington's team is good or something? i guess that will make it more fun.January 07, 2009 at 05:24PM View BBCode

When does Yankee Stadium go down. They should get the Winter classic there next year if its still standing. It's hosted everything else.January 07, 2009 at 05:49PM View BBCode
That's a good idea.January 07, 2009 at 06:01PM View BBCode

That's I agree that snow is more aesthetically pleasing but damages the actual game. I guess it depends on whether the goal is quality of play or ratings.

If they do a Winter Classic in New York (and I think this is a distinct possibility next year) it'll be at New Yankee.

Caps/Rangers, New Yankee Stadium. National exposure for AO and the go-go Caps. Book it.January 07, 2009 at 06:38PM View BBCode
speaking of the caps, who the heck is playing goal there these days? i don't think i see the same guy two nights in a row in the highlights.January 07, 2009 at 06:42PM View BBCode
Jose Theodore mostly, since Brent Johnson's been injured. They also stuck Simeon Varlamov in there for a game or two, who was their 1st round pick a couple of years ago, but I think he's been sent back down. Obviously, this is the big weakness.January 07, 2009 at 06:44PM View BBCode

Greg Ostertag. Just look at that mocking little smirk. He's amused with you. Bemused, even.
